Skincare oils are frequently advertised but are they beneficial for people with acne prone skin?

Definitely! Finding the right product for you can go a long way. I wouldn't buy into the marketing hype that any single product can be the answer to your problems, but I would definitely take an experimental approach -- finding the right product for you can end up making a huge difference.

One ingredient you can look into for acne is salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a well-tested BHA whose molecular structure lets it penetrate deep into pores to cleanse out dirt and dead skin cells. Acne is often caused by build up of clogged pores and dead skin cells so good deep cleanse hygiene can definitely help you out.

If you're not sure where to start out, the Sunday Riley U.F.O is one of my favorite salicylic acid products:  https://www.gofriendshop.com/products/sunday-riley-u-f-o-ultra-clarifying-face-oil

Thanks for the quick response! I incorporate salicylic acid into my daily skincare routine but I've never used it in a face oil. I will definitely give it a try!

I'm super into oil-based cleansers as part of my 2 step cleansing routine at night, so I can make sure to get rid of every last bit of makeup (excess makeup and poor cleansing leads to WRINKLES!!). This is a good first step bc many cleansers tend to be drying and this would help combat that for acne prone skin. I also love using tea tree oil whenever I feel like I have a pimple brewing beneath the surface and it zaps it away / works every time!

I personally would avoid using oil-based products with acne pron skin, as many of them can contain comedogenic ingredients and they can leave residue that clog pores, making things worst for skin. I have recently found Clear Acne products range from Safe & Chic, 100% all Natural ingredients that work wonders on skin http://shrsl.com/1uf4u
